Keeping Busy

Now that things have started to warm up it has really been testing my motivation to run. I've been working outside trying to get some yard work done, and I feel like I have been on my feet non stop. The last thing that I have been wanting to do is run, but that hasn't kept me from doing it! It may not be on the right day, but it is getting done!

I can't believe how far I have come in the past few weeks. after the vacation, I was having such a hard time running. Luckily things have changed. For the past 2 weeks I have been running at least 2 and 1/4 miles, and the past 2 runs I have run 2 and 1/2 miles. I am slowly getting closer and closer to that my 5k goal. Hopefully by the end of this week I will be running 3 miles!

One thing that happened this week that really gave me a boost in confidence is that I saw some people for the first time since I have started training for my marathon. One of Mandy's cousins even made the comment that I look amazing and look like a completely different person! That really made me feel good! It really is amazing how far I have come, and how awesome I have been feeling. Before I had started running I would probably have a migraine at least once or twice a week. Right now I seriously cannot remember the last time that I had one. The same thing goes with heart burn, I haven't had it in forever!

Oh, and my theory about the music is a fact at least in my case... For those of you that have no Idea what I am talking about please refer to this post. I really think the music change has really helped my running. I am more relaxed and have a clear mind while running. Has anyone had the same experience? Or do you prefer the songs that you can run to?

Yard work is exercise too, sometimes you need to change your routine to not just running or your body will get used to it.
